My work explores my conflicting feelings regarding decadence and spectacle, which I am simultaneously attracted to and repulsed by.   I construct sculptures by taking molds from cheap figurines that I obsessively acquire from flea markets and thrift stores. Many of these kitsch tchotchkes are descended from fine porcelain collectables that were produced during the Rococo. At first glance my sculpture mimics what was once reserved for the elite. But much like a good forgery, upon closer examination the truth is revealed.
